Working with current mechanical designs and some product development

Project Engineering activities:

Performing calculations such as (ASME, FEA, seismic

Creating spreadsheets for the creation of calculations

Creating and checking datasheets for parts procurement

Ensures designs conform to applicable Codes and Standards

Mentors less experienced Engineers and Designers

Creates 3D Models and detail drawings of mechanical equipment

Checking Designers drawings for accuracy

Sales Support Activities:

Reading specifications and drawings to help create budgets for projects and proposals

Complete proposal drawings on time

Assists in estimates.

Training lower-level Engineers

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from four-year college or university is required.

Drivers License is required

5-7 years

Designing using AutoCad 3D or similar 3D CADD is software required

7-10 years

Piping, pumps, mechanical equipment is required

AutoCad 3D proficiency and Excel worksheets for calculations is preferred

Checking drawings and creating calculation spreadsheets is preferred

Reviewing existing designs for improvements and cost reductions is preferred
