Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to be based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania .This position is expected to begin in May or June 2024.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Perform various technical engineering tasks for the planning, design, and construction phases of water/wastewater treatment design projects.

Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.

Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.

Technical tasks may include:

Water/wastewater treatment evaluation and design.

Pump station evaluation and design.

Water distribution system hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design.

Sewer collection system evaluation and design.

Stormwater modeling analysis and design.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

Candidates must have completed two years of study in their program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on water resources, water, or wastewater treatment.

A GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential and a desire to learn.

A strong sense of commitment and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering concepts through coursework or work experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Experience utilizing AutoCAD and ArcGIS.

Detail-oriented while still able to understand and comply with the big picture/goals of a project.

Ability to multi-task.

Strong logic and writing skills.

Good communication skills.

Documents time and effort accurately.

This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Conshohocken, PA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Conshohocken, PA on a scheduled basis.
