The Manufacturing Engineering team supports daily manufacturing operations in the Pittsburgh facility. The focus of this intern project is to provide support to optimize manufacturing processes and material flow within the manufacturing spaces while assisting on larger scale projects throughout the summer.Job Responsibilities:Support the Manufacturing Engineering team with process improvement activitiesUpdate and document procedures and performing for process improvementsCollect data on manufacturing processes to support developing a process baseline and also the verification of data collection processesPresent Findings and Lessons Learned to Top Management at end of internship programUnderstanding of root cause analysis and failure mode toolsAbility to problem solve and work cross-functionally with the site team
Qualifications:Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related field Undergraduate or Graduate program, required.Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant courseworkADDITIONAL SKILLS:Safety orientedAbility to drive multiple projects to successful completionDemonstrated written communication skillsFamiliar with computer programs such as Excel and Word.
