Inspect, operate, maintain and troubleshoot meters, including orifice, rotary, ultrasonic, and turbine, their associated meter tubes, orifice plates, recorders, gauges transmitters and emissions monitoring equipment to ensure accurate gas measurement.
Calculate volume rates and sizes orifice plates to set flow rates.
Inspect, operate and maintain the following gas quality equipment: Gas Chromatographs, sulfur and hydrogen sulfide monitors, oxygen monitors, and water vapor instruments.
Collect spot or continuous gas samples and liquid samples, labels package and ship samples for determination of gas quality and composition.
Inspect, operate, maintain and troubleshoot control valves, regulators, relief valves and control instruments to provide accurate, reliable and safe control of flow rates and pressures.Who you are:
You have:
High school graduate or equivalent education.
An Associate's degree in a relevant technical field or possess equivalent training.You can:
Reside or are willing to reside within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
You are:
Someone who can perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Able and willing to work overtime, weekends, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.The following are considered assets:
Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as a Measurement Technician.
Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.
Able to work independently with little direction.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.
Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.
Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.
Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honestly and openness are valued.
Proven ability to drive and perform job safely.
Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.
Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issueWorking Conditions:
Work performed in typical office environment with some required field work
Scheduled travel is up to 25% of the time going to Enbridge offices and field locations
Available outside normal work hours to address any technical, cost, safety and environmental issues that occur during active projects
