Health and safety manager job description:
Daily oversight of plant safety and environmental programs, reducing employee injury rates both in number and severity.
Provide EHS support to multiple facilities.
Maintaining regulatory compliance with OSHA and other state and local authorities, as well as environmental regulations.
Working with various safety management tools including audits, safety coaching, behavioral based safety, and job hazard analysis.
Customer response on various regulatory issues
Implement the daily details of the site Safety plan, including coordination of safety programs in cooperation with the Environmental and Safety Committee leaders, training development and delivery, new employee orientation, area audits, oversight of incident reviews, and response and reporting for incidents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations, safe operating practices in a business
3-5 years' of EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of Federal/State Regulatory Requirements
Demonstrates good judgment and strong ethical standards
Well-organized and ability to relate to management, line workers, government officials, customers, and visitors
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word and other related programs
Experience creating and implementing a safety program
