Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Case Binding Specialist to contribute to our Operations Team in Chambersburg, PAWant to join a key team that helps the world read?At Ingram, the Operations team serves a key role within the organization.  We ensure that our facilities function at maximum efficiency.   Safety is a core value in our distribution environment.  We emphasize this through training, education and accident prevention programs.  Process Improvement is another core value, and through innovations such as voice and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, as well as feedback from our associates, we work toward constant improvement. The world is reading, and it is our goal to connect as many people to the content they want in the simplest ways.  If you want to be part of a customer-centric team that strives for excellence, collaboration, innovation, we can’t wait to meet you!What You'll Need:1-2 years manufacturing/production experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.What You'll Do:Trains in all Case Binding operations in order to manufacture case bound books and operate/maintain case binding equipment to maximize “up time” for case binding production in accordance with LSI’s Operating Manual and manufacturers’ instructions.In conjunction with Case Binding and Operations Supervisors, coordinates process and procedure training for Case Binding associates. Proficient in all facets of the Case Binding department and assists the Case Binding Lead with monitoring rework/damage, batch completion, audits, and helps ensure case binding equipment is operated properly.Maintains spine boards, and is responsible for the trimming of jackets and covers ensuring that spine boards are sized properly.Coordinates, completes, and communicates all daily tasks within Case Binding area with the Lead and Operations Supervisor. Must possess a proficient understanding of LSI case binding processes.Must communicate clearly and effectively.Must demonstrate leadership skills.Prioritization skillsOrganizational skillsProblem Solving skillsCustomer Service skillsReading comprehension skills up to high school levelWriting skills up to high school levelMath skills – basic arithmetic, addition, subtractionAttention to detailAbility to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a manufacturing environmentAbility to perform repetitive manual tasksAbility to work independently or collaborate in a group environmentAbility to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demandsAbility to meet and maintain production standardsAbility to maintain reasonably reliable attendancePhysical Requirements:Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift. Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 50 lbs. during the assigned shift – 1-15 frequently and 16-30 lbs occasionally.Ability to push/pull in a manufacturing environment up to 50 lbs to push during the assigned shift – up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 50 occasionally.Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift.Ability to bend, kneel/squat, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.Ability to work designated 12 hour shift including overtime as required.
