The R&D Program Manager is responsible for managing all the internal product development and R&D projects for both HW and SW. this role will interface with the development team as well as corporate JBT R&D and, as needed, also with external Customers.
The goal is to assure proper focus on the internal product development and R&D projects in order to meet the agreed deliverables within the assigned budget and timing.ResponsibilitiesProject Execution
Project Ownership inception to acceptance
Project Charter deliverables, budget and milestones
Project Schedules develop and maintain
Team approach work with internal technical resources
Design and Technical reviews conduct with internal and customer teams
Production/Purchasing coordination with managers for schedule commitments
Risk management
Financial Responsibilities
Budget maintaining and tracking budget for assigned projects
Forecasting % complete and cost to complete of assigned projects
Scope creep avoid scope creep and keep team focus on original deliverables
Reporting monthly reporting to management
Experience/Certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management required
BS degree required.
Engineering or technical discipline preferred
Ability to travel up to 25% required
Ideal candidate has project management experience working for an OEM or in software development
Develop, maintain, and report financial budgets and forecasts
Scrum or PMP certification preferred
