As an Electrical Trade Instructor, you will instruct inmates in electrical trades at a journeyman level through textbook and hands-on training methods. This will include lessons about voltage, lighting, breaker panels, transformers, motors, and electrical appliances. You will plan inmate work assignments and inspect completed work for compliance with electrical trade standards. This position requires supervisory skills to be able to lead the learning process while enforcing security and safety standards.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $48,425 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment used in buildings; or
Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the electrical trade; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the electrical trade.Other Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
