DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn the role of a Corrections Barber Instructor within the Department of Corrections, your primary duty will be overseeing licensed barbers within a state correctional facility. This will entail tasks such as delegating responsibilities to inmate barbers, offering managerial guidance on barbering practices, and guaranteeing that the necessary operational standards for barber shop certification are consistently met.Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment (40-hour work week)

Work hours are 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $48,425.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

This position requires possession of an active Barber Teacher License issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Barber Examiners.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
