Start Date: January 2025SUMMARY
The Diesel Mechanic Youth Co-op position is designed to give students hands-on experience with inspecting, repairing, and maintaining powered mobile equipment. The co-op will assist experienced mechanics in repairing equipment, diagnosing faults, using testing tools, and performing routine maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge
to real-world tasks in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assists in the instillation, repair, and preventative maintenance for various equipment and vehicles
Apply techniques learned in school to scheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
Help repair equipment and replace defective parts under supervision.
Use testing equipment to diagnose mechanical issues and malfunctions.t
Perform cleaning, lubrication, and other necessary maintenance work.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by senior mechanics.Technical knowledge/skills
