Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Network Administrator in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This role is positioned within the technology industry, where the selected candidate will be primarily tasked with maintaining and improving our network systems. Responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and manage Fortinet Firewalls to ensure optimal network performance Monitor network performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal speed and efficiency Collaborate with team members to identify and solve potential network issues Implement security measures and basic testing for network systems Continually update network administration procedures and documentation Train staff on new technologies and hardware as required Respond to network administration related tickets and troubleshoot reported issues Conduct regular system audits and software upgrades Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational Develop plans for future upgrades and set goals for network efficiency.Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Architect, or similar role in Information Technology. Proficiency in managing and configuring Fortinet Firewalls is essential. Solid understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices. Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. Network security experience is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, management, and customers effectively. Must be willing to be on-call outside of regular working hours to resolve network issues if they arise.
