Job Title: Field MechanicLocation: Various locationsBasic Description:Repair mobile equipmentReport equipment failuresTroubleshoot and analyze equipment malfunctionPerform maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipmentRead and implement mobile equipment maintenance manualsIdentify required repair parts and suppliesDocument using the required forms of the maintenance and repair work performedRemove and replace major equipment componentsDetermine nature and extent of equipment failuresRecord parts and supply usagePerform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policiesEssential Job Functions:Regular and predictable performanceAbility to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditionsAgility to access and repair components on heavy equipmentAgility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladderAgility to walk and work on uneven surfacesAbility to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and/or reach frequentlyAgility, bodily coordination and dexterity of hands and feetPulmonary fitness for respiratorAbility to work with hazardous materialsPreferred Qualifications:Candidates must have a HS Diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years heavy equipment repair experiencePosition Requirements:Commercial Drivers License or the ability to obtainAbility to pass a DOT PhysicalCandidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environmentEmployment Type: Full-time hourly positionTravel: This is a field-based position assigned from either our Pennsylvania or Indiana division with up to 95% travel.Base Pay: Hourly rate; Health & Fringe benefits per Collective Bargaining Agreement.Brandenburg is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
