Survey packets are developed from information stored in the electronic Credentialing/Enrollment software system by may be housed in other Network Departments. Survey can be conducted either onsite where the survey is being conducted or online.In addition, Coordinator will be responsible to send out and monitor compliance of the OPPE/FPPE review process. This process includes information mandated by accreditation agencies and reviewed as part of the accreditation survey process.

HYBRID REMOTE OPTION FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES at the discretion of management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Primary contact for credentialing information for all Accreditation Surveys conducted in the Network.

Collates required information for DOH, TJC and other regulatory groups for surveys.

Attends surveys and reviews files with surveyors as needed.

Works with other Department staff to attain up to date information that may be housed in another department.

Can articulate credentialing policies and procedures to Surveyor and other CVO customers.

Can perform provider verification functions as needed.

Reviews and updates Provider privilege forms with Department Chairmen on an annual basis Coordinates and performs FPPE/OPPE processes.

Ensures that procedures are performed in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws and regulatory and accrediting guidelines.

Assists Providers with the completion of online FPPE/OPPE assignments.

Assists with the development of new and updated policies and procedures for the Accreditation Surveys and OPPE/FPPE functions.

Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.

Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.

Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).

Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices

Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Requires sitting for up to eight (8) hours a day, three (3) hours at a time, including extensive use of computer terminal and telephone. Standing and walking as necessary. Pushing and pulling file carts, moving of hands as it relates to computer work and filing. Occasional stoops and bends and squats, kneeling and reaching above the shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal and telephone conversation. Seeing as it relates to general, near and far visionEDUCATION:CPCS, CPMSM Certification, or bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent knowledge and experience considered.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Must possess knowledge of the DOH, TJC, and federal and state regulations regarding medical staff office and credentialing requirements. Experience in electronic Credentialing/Enrollment Software systems and the development of Medical Staff reports using these systems.Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point skills.WORK SCHEDULE/LOCATION: Day, middle or night shift with varying hours based on the needs of the department.
