If you would enjoy working in a fast paced bakery environment, we would love for you to join our Bethel Bakery Family to produce a variety of high volume, high quality baked goods that meet our quality standards.Responsibilities
Operates commercial bakery equipment; 140 quart mixer to assist with mixing batters, icings, thickeners and chocolate syrup; dough sheeter, automatic batter depositor, cookie depositor, dough divider, and pie press.
Monitors inventory of baked goods to assist in planning daily production needs.
Prepares cake layers, cupcakes, sheet cakes, and other products for baking by filling, scooping or using an automatic depositor.
Assembles necessary baking ingredients to prepare for baking, including all scratch recipes.
Assists with operation of ovens; coordinating the flow of products through ovens.
Condensing cookies, cakes and other baked goods.
Assures baked goods meet quality control standards for weight, appearance and size.
Qualifications
Baking/Pastry education preferred, or High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous commercial bakery experience preferred.
Passion for creating exceptional products in a supportive, team environment.
Focus on quality, with strong attention to detail and presentation.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, which include, but are not limited to; seeing, hearing, speaking, standing for the duration of your shift, walking, lifting and carrying full trays of products up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, pushing/pulling equipment and product up to 200 pounds, and working around extreme heat/cold (ovens and in/out of coolers/freezers).
Hours
Full-Time; 40 hours/week
Monday-Friday, from 4:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
Must be available to work on "All Hands on Deck Days."
Additional information
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Will be required to wear slip resistant shoes during your shift.
