As a Roadway Programs Technician 2, you will be responsible for carrying out complex technical tasks related to managing roadway programs. You will assist the Roadway Program Coordinator in reviewing, analyzing and developing maintenance duties in the Centre County maintenance organization. Your main responsibility will be to conduct technical analysis and provide independent evaluation of the maintenance work programs carried out by the Centre County maintenance organization. This will involve various tasks such as reviewing requisitions, preparing bid documents, evaluating and awarding bids, creating contracts and purchase orders, and utilizing a department purchasing card specific to Centre County. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects, including policies, procedures, goals, and objectives, are met by analyzing data related to maintenance activities, programs, and costs.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours will vary during winter operations.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1;or

One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
