This position is responsible for supporting Park Home through daily activities that support the logistical area of the business. The delivery driver will be located at the Altoona Central Distribution Cent and will support the company by providing the highest level of customer service while transporting and setting up merchandise.

Essential Functions:

-Load furniture and drive the truck to specified destination; in accordance with the weekly areas assigned to each day.

-Wrap furniture and other items with blankets or appropriate protection to prevent damage.

-Properly record delivery activities by using company regulated dispatching software.

-Properly record all work hours by using company regulated time clock software.

-Loads truck, by distributing the merchandise along the walls of the truck first then forming compact load in the center, ensuring nothing can shift or be damaged during transport.

-Drives truck to destination and unloads items.

-Conducts Pre- and Post-trip inspections daily.

-Utilize provided protective equipment to ensure no damage to customer property.

-Report vehicle defects, damages, accidents, traffic violations or damage to items or property during transport to the Distribution Center Manager.

-Keep the truck organized and cleaned to help prevent accidents.

Other Functions:

-May perform other duties as assigned.

-Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.

-Operate and maintain preventively distribution center vehicles and equipment.

-Promote a high degree of morale and spirit of motivation within the department and other departments.

-Encourage a high degree of cooperation and communication between this department and all other departments.

Qualifications:

-Previous experience working in a warehouse/delivery driver position, preferred.

-Must have a valid Driver’s License, valid DOT medical certificate, and acceptable driving history record.

-Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.

-Ability to work independently but as part of a team concept.

-Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
