My mother has lymphedema and lipedema, and can only walk with great difficulty. She needs help in the morning from 9AM to 12PM, Friday through Sunday. I have suggested to her to hire two people, as we often need a backup. So if you have good training and/or experience, and if it's working out, she may find you hours just because she doesn't want to be stuck if someone leaves or needs time off.
Job is equal parts basic medical care and meal preparation. Nursing experience is helpful, but being reliable and trustworthy are more important. You will be responsible for preparing breakfast and lunch from the food in our kitchen, for setting up a machine that stimulates lymph circulation (machine runs independently for an hour after the pumps are attached), and putting on leg wraps at the end. These four tasks often take less than an hour and a half, so you may be asked to perform some minor housekeeping duties (vacuuming, laundry, dishes, grocery shopping at a nearby store, etc.).
References are very important. We have had to let go of a few people who were not consistent. Pay will depend upon your nursing experience, as you may be asked to do some basic nursing duties. Physical strength can be helpful, to help my mom stand, to make the bed, or lift simple things. My mom is a foodie, so if cooking is a hobby of yours, you will form an instant connection.
