Penn State Altoona Athletics is hiring for the openings of Intercollegiate Athletic Scoreboard and Clock Operators. The opening assists with a variety of varsity athletic competitions and occasional special events.

Job DutiesEssential Functions:

Perform scoreboard and clock operating duties including shot clock at Penn State Altoona varsity athletic games and special sport-related events primarily women's and men's basketball.

Responsible for updating the scoreboard throughout the game with time, scores, fouls, and other needed information.

Responsible for starting, stopping, and/or resetting the shot clock.

Report any incidents at home events to Athletic Director.

Requirements and QualificationsRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions; subject to extreme heat and cold.

Ability to stand for extended periods in variable weather conditions.

General knowledge of and compliance with all NCAA competition guidelines.

Understanding of NCAA game day rules and regulations of various sports primarily women's and men's basketball.

Ability to communicate with various constituents, the public, students, coaches, administrators, and officials.

Strong work ethic, customer service skills, verbal/written communication.
