Founded in 1994, Alkazone Global has devoted 30+ years to our core mission of improving health through balancing pH. Our custom mineral blends are formulated to create alkaline antioxidant water and essential mineral supplements. We also recently launched a new division to our portfolio: Alkazone Animal Health - dedicated to creating the same quality of alkaline mineral products for pets.
ROLE:
Alkazone is currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our office in Mount Bethel, PA, and build a solid sales team. The ideal candidate will develop a sales plan and set goals, analyze data, monitor products, represent Alkazone in in-store demos, and ultimately, build sales on the field online and build out a sales force. They will need to be able to work with key stakeholders at both the customer, broker, distributor, and internal office levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage in direct sales with health, specialty, and organic food retailers (and/or pet retailers), along with targeting fitness gyms, yoga studios, etc.
Sell our brand to retailers in coordination with local distributors and brokers
Maintain key existing accounts by developing relationships with key stakeholders to sell in additional SKUs, additional facings, new placements, and other opportunities to grow sales volume
Acquire new regional retail chains across the PA/NY/NJ Tri-State area
Track, analyze, and optimize sales traction in the region
Develop relationships with local distributors and their representatives
Track performance and data to develop and execute improvement opportunities
Assist in creating campaigns and implementing marketing strategies to increase product awareness and drive sales
Utilize social media and develop potential partnerships with influencers
The workweek will be divided between regular office hours with a few days out in the field
REQUIREMENTS:
3 to 5+ years of experience in consumer Health Food, Food/Beverage, Specialty/Organic Markets, and/or Pet product sales preferred
Experience with both direct and broker sales models
Knowledge and experience in e-commerce preferred (i.e. Amazon)
Proven success in sales call strategies
Strong presentation/public speaking skills
Ability to formulate and execute account strategies
Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail representatives, and consumers
Entrepreneurially minded and willing to take on tasks outside of expected roles and responsibilities
Identify and target lead generation targets by business segment and product category
Help develop and maintain digital media and lead sites
Assist in developing, planning, and executing all marketing and lead-generation initiatives
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Valid driver’s license
Residing locally preferred
