About the Role
As our Document Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all documentation related to fabrication drawings, ensuring smooth and timely transmission between detailers, customers, and internal departments. While no experience in steel fabrication is necessary, familiarity with document tracking and coordination is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate logs of all original drawings and revisions using company software.
Prepare and manage Letters of Transmittal for all drawings and specifications exchanged with customers.
Stamp, initial, and date all drawings released to the shop to clearly indicate fabrication approval.
Distribute approved documentation to Project Managers and Quality Control Inspectors for use in coordination and inspection activities.
Collaborate daily with project managers, detailers, clients, and shop staff to secure timely drawing approvals.
Efficiently manage and organize a high volume of emails and communication threads.
