Job Summary:
The Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of all public areas, dining spaces, restrooms, locker rooms, and recreational facilities within the country club. This role ensures that members and guests experience a pristine and well-maintained environment at all times. The ideal candidate will be both a leader and a cleaner, assisting in daily cleaning tasks as needed.
Housekeeping Operations:
Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure all club areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules for dining areas, lounges, restrooms, locker rooms, fitness areas, and other public spaces.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with club standards.
Perform cleaning duties alongside staff, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining restrooms.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Oversee laundry services for club linens and towels.
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and toiletries.
Staff Management:
Train and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Schedule and assign tasks to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.
Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations to uphold service standards.
Foster a positive and professional work environment.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Implement proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Report maintenance issues and coordinate with facilities management for repairs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or in a similar leadership role, preferably in a hospitality or private club setting.
Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and hygiene standards.
Willingness to perform cleaning tasks in addition to supervising staff.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Experience in high-end hospitality, resort, or country club environments.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
