We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our chiropractic team as a Chiropractic Assistant. As a key member of our healthcare practice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our chiropractors and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for chiropractic procedures.
- Educate patients on chiropractic procedures, treatment plans, and any necessary post-care instructions.
2. Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and emails in a professional and courteous manner.
3. Assistance to Chiropractors:
- Assist chiropractors during examinations and treatments.
- Set up and clean treatment rooms between patient visits.
- Perform routine administrative tasks to support chiropractic procedures.
4. Billing and Insurance:
- Process patient payments and manage billing procedures.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.
5. Office Management:
- Keep the clinic organized and tidy, ensuring a clean and professional environment.
- Manage inventory of supplies and place orders when necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional training or certification in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Medical Assistant certification
2. Experience:
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in a chiropractic office role
- Familiarity with chiropractic care or the healthcare industry is an advantage.
3. Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Proficient in EMR software (Genesis specifically)
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
4. Team Player:
- Ability to work collaboratively with chiropractors and other healthcare professionals.
- Willingness to contribute to the overall success and positive atmosphere of the clinic.
- Can do attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
