Senior Piping Mechanical Designer

Please note that this is a 6 month contract. Please note that this position is on-site in Allentown, PA. Please note that this position will involve travel up tp 25% of the time. This position will be part of the Hydrogen Refueling Systems (HRS) Product Engineering team that executes product development, provides bid support, supports product deployment projects, and provides design support for existing global assets. Individual will be responsible for designing/drafting/ checking of 3D models to support fabrication packages. Development and input of BOM’s, change management, part specification, drawing revision records, compliance to Client standards, standard design creation and reuse, and document control. You will gather information from multiple sources including other disciplines, vendors, engineers, reference drawings and catalogs to produce complete functional, accurate and constructible design packages.Excellent communication and leadership skills along with knowledge of mechanical design and fabrication.Principal Accountabilities:• Create and design a complete construction/build package meeting the requirements of a project scope document using P&ID, Bills of Material (BOM), and piping/equipment specifications.• Such packages may include:o 3D model development (SolidWorks),o General Arrangement and Installation Drawings,o Detailed fabrication and assembly drawings,o Indented BOMso Plot plan and equipment arrangement drawings.• Travel to field locations and provide technical services for activities related to construction, equipment installation or plant modifications.• Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all products/projects.• Execute projects safely, within the budget and on schedule.• Work together with mechanical engineers and designers in various regions.  Qualifications / Requirements:This is a technical position and requires basic knowledge of piping and mechanical equipment.• Associate degree in Design from an accredited University or Trade School or equivalent work experience.• 10+ years’ experience in piping, machinery, systems design field.
