Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Tigard, Oregon, as a Staff Accountant. This role involves a variety of accounting functions, such as journal entries, account reconciliation, and excel work. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of general ledger accounting practices. This is a long-term contract opportunity that requires fully on-site attendance. Responsibilities: Post day-to-day journal entries ensuring accuracy and timeliness Update reconciliations and reports on a weekly and monthly basis Reconcile within systems, with a particular focus on cash and revenue streams Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize financial data and perform financial computations Maintain and enhance knowledge of accounting software, specifically Microsoft D365 and Intacct Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient accounting procedures Respond to and resolve accounting inquiries in a timely and professional manner Perform other duties as assigned within the realm of accounting functions.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Enterprise Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Expertise in account reconciliation Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
