DescriptionSecurity Officer at Providence Seaside Hospital- Full-Time, Variable Schedule$2,000 hiring/sign-on bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.Want to know more about living on Oregon's Coast click here.Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer, performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces PH&S, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PH&S staff, visitors, staff, and property; respond and assist in restraining patients; detain individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provide protective services to high risk areas. Mobile positions will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, patient transports, site surveys, threat assessments, patient standbys, alarm/nuisance call response, special details and assist in training of clinic personnel. Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire or
Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire
1 year experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications
Preferred Qualifications:
College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science
1 year Security/law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve and military police
Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry
