Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with our other technicians and supervisor.
Duties
-Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
-Perform general facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical repairs, and HVAC system upkeep (only those duties that do not require licensing).
-Execute painting tasks to maintain aesthetic appeal and protect surfaces (to include drywall repairs).
-Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Pikes Northwest uses Appfolio.
-Operate tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs.
-Collaborate with other team members to ensure all maintenance projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Skills
-Strong background in facilities maintenance with hands-on experience in various trades.
-Proficient mechanical knowledge, including understanding of electrical systems.
-Experience in residential painting techniques and applications.
-Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
-Welding skills are a plus, with the ability to fabricate parts as needed.
-Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
-A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards.
As a Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for the following:
-All incoming maintenance requests which may include (this is not an exhaustive list):
-Repairing/replacing the various operating components of homes, apartments and commercial buildings to include: water heaters, faucets, exhaust fans, cabinets, doors, appliances, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, locks, weather stripping, painting, carpet (replacement and stretching), etc.
-Enhancing property’s curb appeal by removing trash, blowing parking lots, shoveling snow, weed killing, maintaining trash areas, tagging non-compliance autos, laundry room maintenance, remove cobwebs from buildings and repairing exterior lighting.
-Maintaining the maintenance records for vehicle.
A background and driving insurance review are required.
