DIRECT HIRE
Location: Salem, Oregon
Compensation: $90+/year DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00-5:00pm - One Saturday per month!

Locally owned and operated, our 10 acre facility utilizes state of the art equipment to process material that is shipped all over the world. Our client is known for its community involvement and family feel environment.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee scheduling issues of all yard and shop employees. Work with HR on
issues of employment. Hold employees accountable to their job
responsibilities.
Coordinate ingoing and outgoing shipments with dispatcher.
Coordinate customer movement with traffic to make yard as efficient as
possible.
Work with Useable yard to salvage material when possible.
Manage safety and environmental issues as needed.
Coordinate with maintenance lead on equipment issues/repairs.
Plan and prioritize shop needs and projects.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and repair/replacement needs.
Maintain good communications with Western Operations Manager, other
department leads and senior management. Be able to work and lead
employees with good verbal and written communication in a respectful
manner.
Oversee employees, productivity, efficiency, and safety throughout the yard. Maintains quality control, safety, security, environmental and special projects as directed by the COO.

What You Need to Have:
Hands on maintenance/mechanical. Must have experience with hydraulics and knowledge of electrical systems is helpful as well. Scrap metal background would be ideal. The ability to manage a team and coordinate with leads and troubleshoot equipment. Good judgement with the ability to apply problem solving techniques to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
