K&E Excavating is seeking a Full Time IT Technician. We require a professional, trustworthy, helpful team player who can assist with the technological needs of the organization. Staff will primarily work in the Salem, OR office, providing hands-on support to people here and remote support to teams at remote locations.
Technician will start under close supervision and transition to working more independently. Will provide support through in-person conversations, hands on technology, phone calls, and remotely accessing users' devices. This is an interrupt-driven environment, and the applicant must be capable of switching gears and managing multiple concurrent requests.
Technician must be competent with technology and capable of learning further. More importantly, the applicant must be personable, helpful, flexible, and ready to work with people. Technician must be a highly trustworthy individual.
Essential Job Duties
Assists and trains end users with technology.
Configures devices and services in preparation for end users.
Purchases assets, parts, and other incidentals as a function of support.
Documents work; escalates problems to other staff or vendors when appropriate.
Perform minor repairs to devices.
Administrative work in support of technology

Windows Laptop and Desktop computers, Windows Servers
iPhones, iPads and other mobile devices
Printers, Copiers, Surveillance Cameras
Websites and online services
Office 365, Azure, and associated Systems
Client software - i.e. Microsoft office and construction specific applications.
Other systems as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong aptitude with technology, MS Windows, Microsoft office
1 year relevant experience in applicable role or equivalent training or certification.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Random Drug Test
General Knowledge of Networks, Servers, Databases
Other notable qualifications
Proven experience in positions of trust
4 years of relevant experience.
Skill with Web Design
Experience in Managed Services IT environment
Relevant College Degree or Industry Certifications.
Working schedule & environment
7am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
Occasional after hours / early morning / weekend work.
Routinely carries heavy items, climbs ladders and stairs, works under desks, etc.
Works in office, others' office, shop, and other environments.
