We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Property Manager /Leasing Agent for our property management company. This person will play a crucial role in renting out residential properties, and assisting tenants with their needs.

Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Agent Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about available properties.

Meet with prospective tenants and conduct property tours.

Advertise available properties through various marketing channels.

Screen applicants by conducting background, and credit, checks.

Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with property regulations.

Collect security deposits, application fees, and monthly rent payments.

Maintain positive relationships with current tenants, and address concerns professionally.

Write and issue violation notices to tenants who fail to comply with lease agreements.

Ensure that tenants adhere to rental policies, and follow up on compliance-related issues.

Coordinate property maintenance, and inspections, to ensure compliance with housing regulations and that units are in top condition.

Stay updated on market trends and rental pricing strategies.

Clean office as needed.

Build positive relationships with prospective tenants

Oversee the timely and successful completion of maintenance requests

Prepare and execute detailed, legally-compliant lease agreements

Oversee all financial procedures including verifying renter income, processing monthly payments, and executing default protocols

Create organizational systems to support accurate record keeping, efficient financial transactions, and prompt renter complaint resolution

Requirements:

Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Willingness to learn Landlord / Tenant laws, Leasing practices / laws, and City Ordinances.

Customer service-oriented mindset.

Ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in property management or leasing is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of property management software/systems is a plus. Additional computer knowledge welcomed.
