This position offers an opportunity to contribute to research and scientific publications while developing a diverse set of laboratory skills.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field
Valid Oregon State driver's license
Motivation to contribute to scientific research
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly
Professional appearance and demeanor
Willingness to work occasional weekend or evening hours if needed (compensated at a higher rate)
Helpful, but not required:
Neuroscience experience
Microscopy experience
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with research projects, including anatomical research procedures and laboratory work
Contribute to scientific paper writing
Order and organize lab supplies
Conduct administrative duties, including making phone calls
Perform cleaning responsibilities, including disinfecting workspaces
Document research findings
Adhere to laboratory safety protocols
Independently manage time
Maintain confidentiality
Benefits include very good medical and dental insurance, 401k with match, paid holidays and paid time off (vacation or sick time). Wage for this position starts at $22-24/hr depending on experience, 40 hours/week.
Drug test and background check will be required. Applicant must live in or near Salem.
