Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.Explore our short clips, "WE are Yakima - WE are Family" and "YVFWC - And then we grew," for a glimpse into our dedication to our communities, health, and families.What We Offer$19.58-$23.98/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidatesAdditional pay for your bilingual skills100% employer-paid health insurance including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicineProfit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan availableGenerous PTO, eight paid holidays, and much more!What You'll Do:Address patient billing inquiries and collaborate with the Billing and Medicaid Office for issue resolutionInform patients on billing and payment practices, provide account details and balance informationDiscuss medical insurance options, eligibility, and Managed Care plans with clientsAssist clients with insurance application process, track applications, and provide guidance on benefitsEducate clients on medical insurance coverage, help resolve card-related issuesManage daily work queues for insurance, discounts, and Medicaid processingEvaluate and process hardship or write-off requests, maintain billing adjustmentsStay updated on Managed Care and Medicaid program changes and updatesMay perform Lead duties by acting as a liaison between line staff and the direct supervisor. Manage breaks, lunches, sick calls, and overtime. Provide insights to leaders regarding the skill level and performance of the employees. Responsible for providing training to new employees and existing staff when needed. Performs quality audits as directed.Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)One year's experience with billing credit or patient benefits, preferably in a medical office, is required; Experience in special programs such as State Managed Care plans is preferredAffordable Care Act (ACA) Certification: Must pass the ACA exam within 90 days of employmentBilingual (English/Spanish) required at a level 9Ability to prioritize work and handle various tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptionsAbility to build effective relationships and interact professionally with patients, providers, and staffBasic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records, Word, and ExcelBasic knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing insurance is desiredOur Mission Statement“Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being.”Our mission celebrates inclusivity.
