Since 1993, The Pathfinder Network (TPN) has been providing justice-system impacted individuals and their families the tools and support they need to be safe and thrive in our communities. We serve individuals experiencing incarceration, those reentering the community, those on forms of community supervision, their families, and their children, both in the community at our Center for Family Success, within 9 of Oregon’s 11 corrections facilities, at the Marion County Parole and Probation, Transition Center and Jail, and at Jackson County Community Justice, Transition Center and two other offices, the Collaborative and Parkside Place. We also expanded our Peer Services within Multnomah County to include a building for the Resilience and Recovery Project - Multnomah County. We develop and deliver a comprehensive scope of evidence-based, trauma-, gender- and culturally-responsive cognitive behavioral-based programs, including our proprietary, evidence-based curriculum Parenting Inside Out, which is the highest-rated parenting skills curriculum for parents involved with the criminal justice system. Our community programs feature holistic wraparound individual and group support and services. We serve an average of 3,000 people a year agency-wide.

WHAT YOU WILL BE COUNTED ON TO DO

As the Peer Support Supervisor, you will play an integral role in ensuring The Pathfinder Network (TPN) staff and programs are fully supported to deliver high quality prevention and intervention services to adults, children and families who are system-impacted. Your role will include supervising, leading, planning, organizing, delivering, evaluating and supporting Peer Support Specialists working in the Resilience & Recovery Project peer support program in Marion County. You will ensure contract, grant, Oregon Administrative Rule, Oregon Revised Statutes and Correctional Program Checklist compliance, as well as promote program delivery and fidelity using evidence-based practices.
Your lived experience, relational and collaborative skills, capability to work well under high-stress emotional experiences, high-level of empathy, and ability to keep strong boundaries will enable you to thrive in this position. In this supervisory position, you will support the mission of TPN and our partners, and act as a liaison between TPN staff, partners, and the agency leadership team. You will bring strong skills and abilities to ensure that program staff are fully supported to consistently deliver high quality services with impact and excellence.
Responsibilities
Staff Support, Training, and Supervision
Supervise program staff and support the operations of the program, ensuring quality service delivery.
Create and monitor staff schedules, provide monthly individual staff supervision, process personnel documentation and hire and onboard new staff.
Be available to staff as they perform their work and require assistance, have questions and solve problems.
Ensure coverage of all methods of program delivery.
Develop, revise, adhere to and support operational practices, procedures and policies.
Support the coordination, planning, and completion of all deliverable and contract performance goals.
Complete and process documentation and paperwork as required. Ensure staff are processing documentation and paperwork as well as entering all data as required. Conduct at least monthly audits of electronic and paper files.
Lead weekly team meetings with Peer Support Specialists to staff cases, address operational issues, and ensure the successful delivery of programs.
Evaluate and support staff in creating service plans, assessing clients’ progress, implementing appropriate services, providing resources and referrals, and completing supporting documentation.
Work with TPN’s Training Department to support program integrity and professional development of staff. Engage in ongoing training, coaching and support and participate in continuous quality improvement efforts. Assist in training, coaching and observation of program staff.

Program Support
Process all program referrals and assign participants to peer caseloads.
Collaborate with partner agencies to maintain interagency communication and cooperation. Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and community meetings.
Assist with community outreach, participate and assign outreach efforts to program staff to ensure consistent referrals and program engagement. Serve as a community liaison for TPN’s programming in Marion County.
Assist with submission of all programmatic and grant reporting documents in a timely manner. Assist in completion and submission of all required reports.
Adhere to program budgets and financial policies and guidelines. Approve program expenses.
Participate in train the trainer processes for program curriculums and models. Role model effective use of curriculums and model, as well as train, coach and support other staff.
Assist in implementation of programming and projects from start to sustainability and serve as a leader in efforts to continuously improve, assess and advance all programs.
Facilitate classes and support groups using standardized curriculum and delivery model. Substitute in classes and/or facilitate support groups. Plan, review, and prepare materials for facilitation of classes.
Facilitate program informational and orientation sessions.
Teach, coach and model positive recovery, cognitive and social skills individually and in groups. Reinforce positive behaviors and progress. Utilize incentives to motivate behavior.
Class Facilitation
Facilitate classes and support groups using standardized curriculum and delivery model. Substitute in classes and/or facilitate support groups. Plan, review, and prepare materials for facilitation of classes.
Facilitate program informational and orientation sessions.
Teach, coach and model positive recovery, cognitive and social skills individually and in groups. Reinforce positive behaviors and progress. Utilize incentives to motivate behavior.
Participation in Shared Leadership (=5% of your time)
Be a champion in the shaping and sustaining of a diverse, equitable, inclusive and just workplace, with a focus towards creating racial equity.
Participate on cross-departmental teams or committees regarding organizational policies, processes and work environment
Participate in Temporary Teams, Equity Team, Employee Resource Groups, and other teams
Contribute individualized skills, knowledge, experience and expertise to help the agency reach its mission
This position supervises full-time Peer Support Specialists.

Requirements
Experience and skills we are interested in:
Lived experience with criminal justice involvement and/or addiction and recovery
Certification or eligibility to be certified as a Certified Recovery Mentor and/or Peer Support Specialist
Released from prison/jail and completed all forms of community supervision no less than three years ago.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Two or more years of experience supervising peer delivered services and staff, preferred
Equivalent to an Associate’s degree in a related field
Prior non-profit work experience, preferred
Awareness of Trauma-Informed practices and approaches
Experience working with mental health and substance abuse treatment agencies
Experience working with the criminal justice system
Experience providing training and participating in train the trainer models
Experience supervising peer delivered services and staff
Intermediate level computer capabilities in use of databases, web-based environments, word processing, email, and spreadsheets
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must pass a criminal history background check, employment verification, motor vehicle records check, and drug screen (which does not include testing for marijuana). Employment is contingent upon being granted badged access to Facilities and program sites.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a motor vehicle during work hours that is covered by adequate car insurance.
Hiring and referral bonuses are payable after 60 days of employment to new employees in good standing who hold the required certifications. New candidates should specify in the job application who they were referred by, and the community member will also complete this form.

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements
This job operates within a community service delivery setting. This is largely a sedentary role and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The Pathfinder Network follows public health guidance for any public health emergencies and will remain in compliance with any vaccination or isolation requirements from partner agencies.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 40 hours each week. Typical days of work are Monday through Friday and may include weekend, afternoon and evening hours.
Some travel is required in the community and to meetings and training. Travel to TPN administrative office in Portland, Oregon and program sites across the state may be required periodically with advanced notice.

Compensation and Benefits: This is a non-exempt, full-time position. The hiring range for this position is $23.33 - $24.03 per hour, DOE. Pay offers are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment.
