We are seeking a Structural Welder who will be fabricating, assembling, and welding parts for communication towers, poles, bridges, utility and concealment structures. The ideal candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as welder/fabricator, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities include the following:
Maintain a safe working environment and a hazard free work place, free of obstructions and obstacles
Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
Lay- out, cut, and fit material for welding.
Weld structural members using electric arc welding equipment according to specifications.
Perform plasma and Oxy/Acetylene fuel cutting processes.
Fabricate special tools, equipment, fixtures, and jigs.
Weld on stationary and non-stationary items utilizing motorized rollers.
Utilize layout techniques for pipe to place parts on poles for welding.
Maintain welder qualifications and professional continuity
Specific Skills:
Excellent knowledge of structural steel shapes, sizes, and material grades.
Fitting and fabrication experience
AWS D1.1 and WABO certified preferred ( not required)
Understand manufacturing methods and techniques.
Knowledge of equipment uses and limitations.
