## About the Role
We're seeking a passionate educator and rum enthusiast to conduct educational tastings that showcase both our unique spirits and the fascinating history behind traditional rum production. This role combines storytelling, history, and spirit education, making it perfect for veterans and those seeking meaningful part-time work.
## Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging educational tastings that highlight the historical significance of rum
- Share detailed knowledge about colonial-era rum production methods and their influence on our current practices
- Educate customers about the distinct characteristics of sugarcane rum
- Present the historical context and cultural significance of traditional rum-making
- Maintain an organized presentation
- Comply with OLCC regulations regarding alcohol service
## Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid OLCC service permit (or willing to obtain)
- Strong public speaking and storytelling abilities
- Passion for history and willingness to learn about historical rum production
- Reliable transportation to Salem locations.
- Able to lift 40lbs.
- Able to Stand for 3+ Hours
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
## Preferred Qualifications
- Military veterans strongly encouraged to apply
- Background in history, education, or hospitality
- Experience with public speaking or educational presentations
- Interest in historical spirits and traditional production methods
- Located in or close to Salem.

- Training compensation starts at $16/hr and they jumps to $21/hr plus commissions after training period.
