JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Lead. The ideal candidate will play a key role in warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, shipping and receiving processes
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES AND TASKS:
Coordinate the pulling of accurate quantity of bagged seed for orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
Ensure all orders are properly blended, stacked and labeled for shipment.
Operate forklift safely to move pallets of bagged seed within the warehouse.
Load outbound trucks with forklift efficiently and promptly with pallets of bagged seed with 100% accuracy of product type and
quantity.
Receive in dirt seed from growers by weighing trucks and filling out necessary paperwork.
Operate tractor to move grass seed received from growers.
Perform tasks of varying physical demand such as moving and stacking 50# bags of seed and cleaning / maintenance of equipment.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
Communicate daily with office staff regarding shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Perform various tasks throughout the warehouse as necessary including operating seed cleaning and blending equipment.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a warehouse environment in similar job capacity required.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Proficient in basic math skills for accurate inventory counting and order processing.
Forklift driving experience required. Other farm related equipment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job will involve lifting, moving 50 lb bags of seed.
Work is in a warehouse which can be dusty environment.
Temperatures vary depending on the weather.
Rate of pay based on experience.
HOURS:
This is a full-time position. Benefits include paid time off, holiday pay, medical and dental insurance, and 401k profit sharing
Standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week.
During harvest and heavy shipping season (July-September), work hours will increase to Monday through Saturday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with occasional Sunday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Overtime paid after 40 hours work week.
