Pettit Staffing is seeking a Maintenance technician with welding experience for a manufacturing company. This is 1st shift.

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including machinery breakdowns and malfunctions.
- Fabricate and repair metal components using welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick).
- Install, adjust, and maintain mechanical systems, including conveyors, mixers, pumps, and packaging equipment.
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
- 1-3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
