We are looking to high someone for part time hours (2 days per week currently) and we can be flexible with the hours. The position has the potential to become full time as we grow.
Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia as necessary
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Proficiency in using dental office software (we use OpenDental) for scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
