Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of fine dining experience and possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to producing high-quality dishes. This position starts at $17.50 per hour plus tips, with a flexible schedule tailored to the candidate's needs.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards of quality.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared promptly and presented beautifully to meet guests' expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials, contributing creative ideas and techniques.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Work efficiently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, supporting team members and communicating effectively with kitchen staff and management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience working as a Line Cook in a fine dining restaurant.
Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking with attention to detail.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks with precision.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures.
Oregon Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification preferred.
