The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the preparation and review of all individual and corporate tax returns for the firm while supervising and mentoring a small team of professionals. Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Research and resolve tax-related issues, including identifying potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
Team Leadership:
Supervise a small team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Assign and manage workflow, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of tax engagements.
Client Interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing inquiries promptly.
Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients, aligning their financial goals with regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the firm's practices remain compliant.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of tax services.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation preferred).
CPA license in good standing is required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax preparation for individuals and businesses.
Prior experience supervising or managing a team is required
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
