Description Jennie Joiner with Robert Half is offering a Senior Accountant role within a service-based industry located in Keizer, Oregon. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting workflow and providing financial and analytical support to company management. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a high level of organization and detail-orientation. The Senior Accountant does not supervise at this time but the company is growing fast so future leadership opportunities are possible. While an accounting or finance degree is strongly desired, our client will consider years of experience over a degree. QuickBooks and advanced Excel are required. If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity, contact Jennie Joiner at 541-345-9930 or apply online today.Responsibilities: Execute complex accounting activities to record, analyze and monitor financial information Oversee monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts Prepare and review required supporting documentation and financial statements to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures Carry out diverse accounting functional areas such as invoice processing, billing, cash receipts, credit analysis, receivable collections, month-end close, journal entries, statistical data, payroll and HR support Assist in the management of the accounting workflow across all related entities, ensuring proper internal controls are in place, including compliance with company policies, procedures and all other statutory requirements Meet all internal and external reporting deadlines Participate in pricing and profitability analysis, commercial and municipal bids, and market development projects Support during the annual budget and interim forecasting process and assist with analytical review Handle the accounting aspects of capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements Participate in annual CPA Review Provide support and respond to information requests from CFO and COO Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent. The role requires skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Monthly Reporting, Monthly Reconciliation, QuickBooks, and US GAAP.Requirements Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Familiarity with Month End Close, Monthly Reporting, and Monthly Reconciliation Proficient in using QuickBooks accounting software Thorough understanding and application of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
