Actalent is looking to add a Process/Industrial Engineer to our consulting team, working in partnership onsite at a client of ours in the Salem region!Description:For this Process/Industrial Engineer, we are looking for a top performer that will fit our team dynamic - someone inquisitive, with a pioneering spirit, to collaborate on the vision of sustained continuous improvement. Someone that values having a voice and variety in their work over bureaucratic routine will thrive in this role and will join the rest of us in looking forward to showing up each day.This Engineer will be supporting or owning all aspects related to plant engineering – CapEx, installing production lines, process improvements and cradle-to-grave engineering work. It will primarily be based around project based work, but there will be situations where this person will be pulled away to assist on solutioning any manufacturing issues – current projects are relocating equipment between facilities and working on a new production line. They will be writing DOE’s, supporting energy efficiency improvements (our client are proud members of Energy Trust's SEM program), writing work orders or putting in PO requests. Overall, the key responsibilities of this Process/Industrial Engineer will be: overall process improvement, process control, implementing lean tools and/or structured problem solving, etc. They will be required to interpret engineering drawings with 2D and 3D CAD.Required Skills & Qualifications:

BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering

2+ years of practical engineering experience as a Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Continuous Improvement Specialist, Project Engineer, or similar

Experience can come from a variety of industries and/or facilities, including most all manufacturing, production, distribution, or similar

Project Management experience (Not holding the title, but experience taking a project from start to finish within a team)

Engineering toolbelt including but not limited to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement methods

A combination of skills and experience in the following will be helpful, and will prioritize the individual:

Food and/or beverage processing technologies

2D & 3D CAD experience

Statistical tools such as Gage R&R, MSA, other

OSHA and safety regulations

Discrete Element Simulation

P&ID conventions and Piping and flow systems engineering basics

Working with automation and controls basics

Specifying project work for contractors and services

Engineering and Change Management within a regulatory environment.
