Job Description

The Maintenance (Handyman/Handywoman) and area Supervisor will travel to different Oregon and Southern Washington communities to inspect communities, meet with vendors, oversee projects, perform minor repairs, troubleshoot submeters, and more. Your home is your office, your home base.

Day trips are necessary, and overnight stays may be needed on rare occasions. Travel is busier during spring and summer due to inspections and outdoor projects. Weekends are sometimes required on rare occasions for project or park emergencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel to our communities throughout Oregon and Southern Washington.

Inspect properties and all common areas as required.

Visit communities to perform external 4-sided inspections.

Meet with vendors for project quotes and help oversee the projects until completed.

Perform simple repairs with basic tools, such as changing light bulbs, hanging a sign, or changing a lock. It always will be for work and does not require a licensed vendor.

Assist with new home projects and delivery and work with the vendors until the home is complete.

Comfortable with occasionally going under homes to troubleshoot submeters.

Be able to read and write up notices and inspection reports and follow up on violations.

Ability to interact with tenants, keeping a calm and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

A minimum of two years experience in a similar role.

Experience in maintenance or construction will also be considered.

High School diploma or equivalency certificate required.

Must have Reliable transportation.

Valid Driver's License with insurance.

Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, email, internet).

Good with a mobile phone camera, able to take good photos, upload photos to Google Photos, create photo albums as needed.

Will need to read up and understand Oregon Housing Laws for Manufactured Home Communities. Will need to take required MHCO training to MHC management in person or Zoom (paid by employer)

Pay $39K to $46K DOE

Mileage reimbursement at Federal Rates

Background and credit checks are required for all employment, paid for by the employer.
