Location: In Office/Remote

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Some overtime during tax season)

Position Summary:

The Tax Preparer plays a critical role in supporting our clients by preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws, and maintaining outstanding client relationships. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a dedication to providing reliable, timely service.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare individual and small business federal and state tax returns

Review of financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

Research tax issues and provide accurate, compliant solutions

Utilize tax preparation software to complete returns efficiently

Communicate effectively with clients regarding their tax situations and answer related questions

Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and integrity

Qualifications:

Tax Preparer License strongly preferred (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)

Minimum of one year of relevant tax preparation experience

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Aptitude for numbers and complex calculations

Working knowledge of current federal and state tax laws

Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, Proconnect, or similar)

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Willingness to work extended hours during tax season
