Aerotek is seeking a truss builder/general production worker for a company in Central Oregon. This company has amazing benefits, a great work culture and multitude of opportunities for growth. This position will be on a Day Shift M-F work week with potential for OT on Saturdays. Most OT will be required during Spring-Fall months, but winter may be slower and not require OT on Saturdays. Candidates will be required to understand blueprints, machinery, and work together in small teams of 2-3 people to complete taskwork. This entails lifting, standing on feet all day, wearing PPE, and working with lumber materials.Duties but not limited to: Operate the roller press on fabrication tables Assist with unloading and packing cut lumber Build a truss by placing lumber onto the fabrication table and assemble with nail plates Maintain station cleanup procedures Ensure the quality of trusses is met by following standard proceduresAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Must be able to use a framing hammer, electric saw, pneumatic nail gun, and any other equipment necessary for the job Ability to read a tape measure Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and carry objects 50 feet Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and bend/kneel repetitivelyExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
