Job Description
Operates as a Yard Hostler, uses a specialized truck specifically built to easily move trailers in tight areas. Responsible for weighing and positioning all containers and trailers for loading.
Drives a Roll-Off truck to weigh and dump drop yard boxes. You will serve as a backup to haul containers to and from the container yards and to the local Port.
May be asked to run our sweeper truck during downtime to clean the yard.

Operates vehicles in a safe manner
Knows the procedure on container placements
Knows the procedure on properly attaching equipment
Knows all the gauges and controls
Knows throttle and shut down procedure for each piece of equipment
Knows the procedures to operate a Roll-Off truck, Straight Truck and Sweeper
Correctly completes all paperwork
Knows the procedures to get proper weights on containers
Maintains cleanliness in vehicles and yard
Immediately reports any unsafe conditions of equipment or working area
Vehicles or Moving Equipment
Trucks and Trailers, Containers, Forklift and Sweeper (up to 6 hours a day)
