We are offering free training to become a professional Tour Guide driving tours in the Portland and surrounding areas such as, Oregon Coast, Mt Hood, Columbia Gorge, Winery Tours and more.
America’s Hub World Tours is seeking reliable and consistent adventure seekers to join our team as Tour Guides! As the best sightseeing and adventure tour provider in Portland and Oregon, we take pride in knowing that we have some of the best Tour Guides trained, and provide well organized tours in the State.
We are looking for eager, enthusiastic personalities that love sharing Oregon's beauty and history with tourist from all over the world.
No experience needed, just need to have a clean driving record and great personality with a willingness to learn! You will be required to give commentary on all tours and be willing to self educate ongoingly. If you love talking, driving and showing people a great time with a captivated audience, this is the job for you!
Start Date: Immediately
Hiring: Full and part time - year round
Requirements and Attributes:
- Must have a clean driving record
- Capable to drive a Mercedes Sprinter Van (10-14 passenger vehicle - CDL not necessary)
- Multi task, time management skills and flexibility a must
- Eager to engage passionately and intelligently with guests coming to see Oregon
- Fast learner and willing to self educate on all things Oregon
- Tour Guides must be capable of driving and giving commentary at the same time in a safe and consistent manner.
- You also need to excel at handling group dynamics, planning and problem solving on the road
- Complete paperwork pre and post tour
- You should have strong leadership and motivational skills
- You will need to have a smart phone for assignments (at your expense)
- Be in a position to be added to our insurance without company incurring any surcharges, and be able to pass a background & driving record check.
- Will be required to secure a City of Portland "Private for Hire" permit with PBOT after hire date
Experience:
A high level of area knowledge is preferred, but if you are willing to take the time to learn, we are willing to train you
Tour Operator Profile:
We are a receptive tour operator running tours daily in the Portland and surround areas of Oregon. Tours operate year round consisting of; Oregon Coast Tours, Mt Hood Loop Tours, Waterfalls Tours, Wine Tours, Portland City Tours and more.
We offer full and part time work with a minimum of 2-3 days a week.
Salary:
Will be discussed at time of interview and based on experience, starts at $17 an hour.
- Almost guaranteed additional income on tours with client gratuity.
