Job Description and Responsibilities
The Inventory Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and manage the inventory storage space in the warehouse to ensure effective use of space.
Monitor inventory for organization.
Perform cycle counts/physical inventories according to the cycle count schedule.
o Cycle count records & schedule created by Purchasing Manager
o Reports all inventories to Purchasing Manager.
During cycle counts, ensures materials stored in an organized manner following proper FIFO procedure.
Reinforce and audit warehouse organization projects assigned.
Receiving – oversee incoming shipments and goods delivered to OBC.
o Verifies delivery documents against actual verified visual counts.
o Notifies Purchasing Manager of any discrepancies or damaged items within 24 hours of receiving.
o Ensure on time unloading of inbound material to avoid any detention charges.
o Accurately receive shipments into SAP within 24 hours of receiving.
o Follow FIFO procedure for all incoming products.
Assist in root cause investigations when inventory issues arise.
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager in managing & supervising warehouse staff and daily activities while working to maximize efficiency and minimize staff overtime.
Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Supervise efficient working of staff according to company policies, handbook policies, and company philosophy.
Motivating, educating, organizing and discipline of staff.
This position requires knowledge of current stock and inventory sold by OBC NW and its vendors. This helps ensure that all orders are shipped accurately and efficiently.
Forklift reports – gather needed information and complete per report schedule.
Any other duties as required and/or requested.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.
Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, with sharp attention to detail.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working with SAP preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual preferred but not required.
Ability to work with many personality types and skills.
