Red Plains Professional (RPP) is hiring an entry level/early career GIS Technician to join our Vancouver, WA Office, located in Salmon Creek.

As a company, we specialize in Planning, Civil Engineering, GIS, and Construction Management and much of our work is in a specialized transportation market for a client base that largely consists of Tribal governments and entities. RPP is a leader in the field of Tribal transportation planning, including transportation and utilities GIS asset management systems, community development and land use planning, transportation safety, civil engineering and design.

We are seeking a highly motivated career minded individual with a foundational understanding of GIS and broad skill base to expand our growing GIS department. This is an all-encompassing GIS position that will require field data collection, data post-processing, digitizing from as-builts and other documents, creation and maintenance of web applications, short turn around project specific mapping products, and QA/QC among other tasks. Candidates must have a clean insurable driving record as they will be expected to drive company vehicles.

We serve clients mainly in the Western U.S., but field data collection may take you, as part of a team, from Oklahoma to Alaska and some projects require being in the field for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

AAS or BS in GIS (or related field with a 1-year GIS certificate) or 2+ years relevant professional GIS experience

GIS – ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder/Web App Builder/Story Maps, Field Maps. Experience or coursework related to coding languages such as Python or Arcade

Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook

Valid WA Driver’s License
