Local automotive parts Specialty Company is looking for a Welding/Fabricator to join our team! We have been in business and family owned since 1947…….We are not going anywhere.
This is NOT a journeyman position and does NOT pay journeyman wages.
We are looking for an outstanding person who can perform various functions in the fabrication of parts.
Qualifications and experience:
Must be experienced in MIG and TIG welding
Knowledge of fabrication techniques
Welding knowledge and experience with the ability to weld multiple materials in a variety of positions
Experience with a variety of metal type
Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs regularly and move heavier items with assistance
Ability to stand for majority of the day but also bend, kneel, stretch, and crouch throughout work shift
Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Meet deadlines and follow through
Follows all policies, procedures, standards and safety requirements directed my management
Job Duties: (include but not limited to)
Weld parts as assigned to meet our customer’s specifications and production schedules
Layout, cut, and fit material for welding
Perform cutting and hole making operations
Testing, cleaning, and repairing products
Run all kinds of welding machines and equipment such as plasma cutter, shear, brake, etc.
Use hand tools such as grinders
Maintain a clean work environment
Lift and maneuver heavy, sometimes odd shaped and sized, objects on a regular basis
Follow directions as assigned. Jobs/Duties may vary from day to day
Monday Friday – 8am to 4:30pm. Depending on work load some overtime may be required. NO weekends or evening shifts.
