Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) seeks a Trades Supervisor who willbe responsible forplanning, coordinating,monitoring, and supervising all building and facility maintenance services, and staff engaged in the repair and maintenance of district facilities, includingelectrical, mechanical, HVAC-R, carpentry, and/or plumbing.This position has a wide range of responsibilities requiring strong management skills. The incumbentis responsible fora maintenance program that is broad in scope, requiring professional-level knowledge and experience and the exercise of substantial independent judgment and discretion.A successful applicant will havea minimum of3 yearsof experience leading a team of full-time employees, proven organization skills, exceptional communication skills and the technicalexpertiseto work alongsideand guidetheir team toaccomplishthe tasks of the trades team.To learn more about the position and job duties see the classification title:Maintenance Supervisor I.The typical schedule for this position is Monday to Friday6:00am to2:45pm.This position is the first contact formaintenance-relatedemergencies at district facilities andassumes a schedule of flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, per the classification.To reduce barriers to entry, THPRD evaluates an applicant's work history and responses to supplemental questions and does not consider cover letters and resumes in the screening process.Please answer the supplemental questions thoroughly to ensure our subject matter experts can appropriately evaluate your experience.A bachelor’s degree with major course work in construction management, business management or related field, or work-life equivalent, and a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in building, aquatic and/or trades maintenance or related field, including a minimum of three (3) years of experience in management or as an expert individual contributor responsible for leading employees and projects.Licenses and Certifications:Mustmaintaina valid Oregon Driver's License andgood drivingrecordCurrent CPR/First Aid certification, preferredFacilities Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facilities Manager (CFM),preferredTHPRD is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
